The nature of the materials used and the delicate design means that you should treat all fine jewellery with care.

Remove jewellery when washing and applying make-up, cosmetics and perfumes as they can cause damage. In order to preserve your jewellery, clean with a PASCAL polishing cloth or mild soapy water when needed. Keep all jewellery in original box or pouch to prevent it being scratched or dented.

Pearls:

Pearls are very delicate and will be permanently damaged by cosmetics containing alcohol or acids. Put perfume and make-up on before your pearls, letting it dry first. Do not use jewellery solutions to clean pearls and keep them stored in a separate pouch or box to avoid scratching.

White Gold:

White gold is plated with a metal called rhodium for a bright white finish. Rhodium plating wears quickly if the item is worn regularly and is in regular contact with other surfaces. Consequently rings and bracelets will occasionally require re-plating; earrings and necklaces will rarely ever need re-plating.

Silver:

Oxidation or tarnishing is likely to occur to sterling silver jewellery. Regular gentle cleaning with a polishing cloth will restore the natural colour. After time, your jewellery may require ‘ultrasonic’ cleaning. The item is placed in a pool of vibrating warm water and the ripples extract any hidden dirt within the setting which can also cause a dull appearance.

Diamonds:

Diamonds should be kept separate from all other jewellery, including other diamonds to prevent scratching. If you need to clean your diamond jewellery use warm water, mild detergent and a soft toothbrush. Gently brush the setting and stone and then rinse. To dry use a soft clean cloth that does not shed lint.
